Volunteering and Service Learning Projects

The Falls of the Ohio State Park is a great place for scouts, school, college, civic groups, or individuals and small teams to tackle service learning activities.

Anytime

  • Trash pick up on fossil beds, trails and public areas
  • Invasive plants removal from our woods
  • Weeding flower beds
  • Trail clean-up / maintenance

Scheduled

  • Set-up and breakdown of special events
  • Support of programs and weekend activities
  • Group Clean-up Events

More Complex (i.e. Eagle Scout-type projects)

  • Work with staff to identify and develop scout projects or programs.
  • Support landscaping and beautification activities.
  • Photograph flora and fauna for brochures, social media, and website.
  • Create videos of activities and programs for our website.
  • Develop activities for special events (as guided by park or foundation staff).
