Annually, through partnerships with the Falls of the Ohio State Park and Bellarmine University, the Falls of the Ohio Foundation supports professional development workshops that provide teachers with opportunities to learn about geology and the natural environment. These free workshops are made possible by the contributions of the Sam Shine Foundation and Irving Materials, Inc.

For the 10th year running, this summer (2024) Dr. Kate Bulinski of Bellarmine University and Mr. Alan Goldstein of the Falls of the Ohio State Park have teamed up to offer a professional development workshop “The Waldron Shale Project: Fossil identification and analysis for K-12 Science Classrooms.”
