Project Assistance Grants

The Falls of the Ohio Foundation is pleased to provide the Falls Area Project Assistance Program. This program is designed to provide organizations with small grants to help support programs and projects that elevate and preserve the natural, cultural, and historical resources of the Falls area. 

The 2025 Project Assistance Program will provide a total of $10,000 to be awarded to grant recipients. While there is no minimum or maximum required amount, applicants should be aware that there likely will be multiple grants awarded. We encourage applicants to submit proposals that have cooperative partners and other funding sources.

• These Project Assistance Grants are intended to help:
  • Preserve, elevate, build, improve buildings, structures, exhibits or other physical spaces, or increase accessibility to landscapes;
  • Educate our community on the Falls natural and historical resources;
  • Support exploration of the Falls area through activations, outdoor recreation, and nature-based experiences.
• Grants should be directly related to and impact the Falls area, as illustrated below.

• Grants may be issued to parks, friends groups, environmental stewardship organizations, recreational organizations, municipalities, schools, and other non-profit organizations. 
• Grants will not be issued to individuals.
• The Falls of the Ohio Foundation should be recognized for the grant and included in all promotions, press releases, ribbon cuttings, and other recognition opportunities.
• Example projects may include but are not limited to projects that improve trail systems, enhance interpretive exhibits, conserve and elevate natural areas, provide educational programming that increases understanding and appreciation of the Falls’ historical and cultural significance, and improve access to recreational opportunities. 
• A final grant report with impact information will be required within 30 days of completing the project.
• All applications must be submitted by March 31 each year.
