On February 23, 2022 the Falls of the Ohio Foundation presented The Ohio River – A Passage for African American Life and Culture. The educational program explored the history of the Ohio River and the Falls of the Ohio area’s connection to African American life and culture. From the Underground Railroad to the influence of music, we heard from three local historians as they walked us through impactful moments of time that our river acted as a passageway for life and culture.

To capture this important and rich history, the Falls of the Ohio Foundation recorded the session so that we could share these stories with our community for years to come.
