Shell in a Handbasket

November 2 @ 3:00 pm 4:00 pm

A variety of seashells in different shapes, sizes, and colors are scattered closely together, creating a textured and natural pattern. Some shells are smooth while others are ridged or broken.

Join volunteer naturalist Nick Feltner as he goes through a basket of fascinating fossil and modern snail shells. How has the life history of gastropods changed over time? What are differences between their shapes?  We will explore the unusual adaptations of current snails using beautiful specimens recently acquired from the Kentucky Science Center’s collection. Free Program in the rotunda.
