SUMMARY:Sulf-Ides of March
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy some wordplay and celebrate the Ides of March with an informative program about metals called ‘sulfides.’ These minerals have been used long before Julius Caesar ran into a metal blade.  Sulfide minerals are essential in our lives from tools to buildings. Crystals are attractive to mineral collectors for display. Naturalist Alan Goldstein brings some pretty crystals and tell stories of how they were formed and their uses.

SUMMARY:The Unusual Suspects - Who did it? - Paleontology Explorer
DESCRIPTION:Paleontologists deal in mysteries just like a police detective. They both look at evidence to recreate a scene. With paleontologists\, the scene involves what we call “trace fossils.” Some provide hints at how things lived\, feed\, or behaved. Park paleontologist\, Alan Goldstein\, will explore what we know about ancient life through indirect evidence. Free program meets in rotunda.
