SUMMARY:Fossil Bed Discovery Hike
DESCRIPTION:Discover the wonders of the fossil beds with a park naturalist. We will look at Devonian marine fossils and discuss how they lived\, what they ate\, how / why they were preserved. Hike lasts 60 minutes. Meet on deck. We walk down 60 steps to fossil beds and return via ramp. (Or use ramp if participants have problems with steps.) Please wear shoes suitable for walking on rocks.

SUMMARY:Straw Rockets - Family Nature Club
DESCRIPTION:“One giant leap for mankind…”  July 20th marks the 56th anniversary of the first Moon landing.  To commemorate this milestone\, take your own Moon shot.  Join us to design\, build\, and launch straw rockets at a Moon target on July 20th\, from 3 pm – 4 pm. Laura Swessel\, park volunteer\, science teacher are former rocket scientist leads this activity. The $2 program fee is covered by a Falls of the Ohio Foundation grant. Meets in the rotunda.
