Join the Falls of the Ohio Foundation for a special screening of “This Is The Ohio”.
This Is The Ohio looks at the Ohio River in a new and provocative way. The one-hour documentary is light in tone but very serious in presenting the urgent need to care for this most important waterway. It considers what the Ohio has done for us as well as what we have done to it. From Pittsburgh to Cairo writer/producer Morgan C. Atkinson travels the 981-mile river uncovering revealing perspectives. Atkinson has made a career of creating documentaries that examine individuals and entities that make our region unique, while defining the values and priorities of our region. His work was recently recognized by the KY Arts Council when he was presented with the Governor’s Award for the Arts. This is the Ohio will open the eyes of people who thought they knew the Ohio as well as those who never have given it a second thought.
Please join us at 6:00 pm for the reception. At 7:00 pm we will gather in the auditorium for the film screening, followed up with time to ask questions and speak with the film’s creators.
