Give for Good Louisville 2018

The biggest day of local giving returns on September 13 when Give For Good Louisville takes over our community.  This 24-hour online giving day is hosted by the Community Foundation of Louisville was created to inspire people to give generously to one or more of the 500+ local participating non-profits that make our community one where people and place can thrive.  The Community Foundation of So. Indiana will contribute matching money for So. Indiana non-profits.

The 2018 Falls of the Ohio Foundation goal is to raise a total of

$14,000.00 to complete our “Classroom Technology” project.

• Our goal is to reach as many people in as many ways as possible.  Whether it is mobility. Aging, weather or distance, we want to be able to provide the ultimate experience and the Falls story.
• Through modern technology, the fossil bed educational experience will be available to students whose class is unable to attend a Falls field trip due to funding issues or geographical distance (globally) and to the disabled who are not able to access the fossil beds.  High river levels that cover the fossil beds also prevent access.
• The staff will be able to provide virtual guided fossil bed tours and extensive fossil identification learning experiences in our Falls classroom.
• In recent years, we have seen that our field trip schools had declined over the years.  Also those with mobility impairments and senior citizens may not be able to get the full experience by going onto the fossil beds.
• We hope you will help us bring the fossil bed experience to life for as many people as possible by giving to the Falls of the Ohio on September 13.
