- This event has passed.
- January 12, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST
The earth is a geological machine with tectonic plates that are always in motion. The moving crust open and close oceans, change currents and life itself. Geological history provides evidence of past climates and how living organisms are affected. The combination of atmosphere, ocean and earth will be covered in a presentation by marine biologist and naturalist, Dr. Dominique Hansen on how we study the ocean and its residents.
Part of a series “Marine Life of Today and Yesterday”. Dr. Hansen is a graduate of James Cook University in Queensland, Australia, with extensive experience diving and researching coral reefs. Program is free with Interpretive Center museum admission and $2 parking fee.
