Furbearers of Indiana

Foxes, muskrats, raccoons and opossums oh my!  Learn about some of Indiana’s wildlife with Indiana’s Furbearer Biologist, Geriann Albers.  She will talk about the variety of animals that are in the group known as “furbearers” and a little about each species status and ecology in Indiana.

Geriann Albers has been the Furbearer Biologist with Indiana DNR for almost 5 years.  She received her bachelors’ degree from the University of Illinois and her master’s from West Virginia University.  She worked for Wisconsin DNR and North Carolina Wildlife Resources before joining Indiana DNR.
