Learn about bald eagles and their comeback from being endangered species. Observe them on and/or around their nest on Shipping Port Island, part of the Falls of the Ohio National Wildlife Conservation Area. Program will be held at the George Rogers Clark home site 1105 Harrison Ave for the best view of the nest. Spotting scopes will be in front of the cabin. Led by Naturalist at Heart volunteer and experienced birder Del Striegel.

Interpretive naturalists from Hardy Lake will bring down several raptors, including their bald eagle, and will have them on display from 1:30-3 PM. Spotting scopes will be set up in front of the cabin to watch the pair nesting on Shipping Port Island between 2 and 4 pm. Inclement weather will move this program to the Interpretive Center.

$2 per person donation suggested to benefit the Dwight Chamberlain Raptor Rehab Center at Hardy Lake.

Family Nature Club was created in 2015 to encourage families with children age 4 to 12 to get outside with friends and do something fun! Make time to enjoy nature with good company. Activities are designed to promote thinking.
