Excavating African-American History with Archaeology

Archaeologist Jay Stottman will explore the contributions of archaeology to understanding African-American history and culture. It will use local and regional projects as examples and also reference nationally significant projects. There also will be a discussion of the role of archaeology in the interpretation and presentation of African-American history in the present. Program is free with regular admission.
