The Falls of the Ohio Foundation is happy to introduce Kenton Wooden as our new executive director. Kenton comes to the Falls of the Ohio after eight years with the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana where he managed the organization’s marketing and fundraising activities.
A resident of Southern Indiana with his wife, Elizabeth, and two children, Kenton has a history with and love for the Falls of the Ohio. As members their family has been frequent visitors to the park and enjoyed the easy access to nature.
Kenton Wooden said, “I’m excited about the opportunity to lead The Falls of the Ohio Foundation and to help preserve and promote this incredible, natural and world-famous asset. The Ohio River binds our region together and the Falls of the Ohio is an important part of who we are as a community. There are very few places where you can connect with nature and history in a such an easy and unique way. I look forward to sharing our story with this community and beyond, building relationships with our members and working with our partners to improve our quality of life in Kentuckiana while preserving this special place.”
Kenton is involved with a number of local organizations, has been recognized as a volunteer of the year from Leadership Sothern Indiana and was selected as one of Southern Indiana Business Source Magazine’s 20 Under 40.
Kenton continued, “We have a wonderful team here and are fortunate to have a strong support system of members and people who care about this amazing place.
