Earth Day                                               
April 11, 2009 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Falls of the Ohio State Park will buzz with activity. Environmentally minded businesses and organizations from all over the region gather to share information, show off their accomplishments and provide fun for the whole family. Special programs include live animals.  Sponsored by Jamey Aebersold Jazz, Kentuckiana Air Education and The Trash Force.

Ohio River Sweep                                    
June 21, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The Park coordinates the Clark County effort as part of a multi-state program, which provides free tee shirts for all participants. Join us - and bring along some friends! We welcome scouts, schools and civic organizations to volunteer and help us clean up the riverbank at four different sites.

Family Fun Fair                                   
August 2, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Need a diversion before school starts? This event will keep the kid’s (age 3 – 14) active and learning for hours! Join us in the Interpretive Center for a sampling from all of our events. Free with regular admission. Sponsored by the Naturalist at Heart volunteer program.

Rock the Rocks               
The Falls of the Ohio Foundation announces it’s fourth annual “Rock the Rocks,” fundraising event scheduled for Saturday, August 23, from 6-10 p.m. at the Falls of the Ohio State Park Interpretive Center in Clarksville, Indiana. Proceeds will benefit the foundation’s mission of educational program development at the Falls.

Enjoy music by “The Marlins,” food by Terri Lynn’s Catering by Design, and libations with a bourbon tasting Jim Beam Brands Company. Other activities include a silent auction, raffle, fossil bed hike, and viewing of the center's film and exhibits including two temporary displays about “John James Audubon” and "Rocks, Minerals and Life." Patrons will get a sneak peek of a capital campaign for new exhibits at the Interpretive Center. Dress for the event is casual, and tickets are $60 in advance and $75 day of the event. A reserved table for eight is $480.

Archaeology Day

Sponsored by the Falls of the Ohio Archaeology Society. Enjoy educational displays, hands-on activities for the kids and a guest speaker at 2:00. Archaeologists are available to date your artifacts and explain how they were used.

Falls Fossil Festival    
September 20, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. &
September 21, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Vendors, children’s activities, fossil dig, mineral dig, fascinating speakers, free resources, door prizes, special fossil bed hikes, and more! Free rock and fossil identification so bring in your unknowns! Sponsors: Falls of the Ohio Foundation, Kyana Geological Soc., Kentucky Paleontological Soc., Indiana Soc. for Paleontology and Hanson Aggregates.

Raptor Day                                               
October 11, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Learn about birds of prey at our annual Raptor Day!  Live raptors at 10:00 and 1:00. The Naturalist at Heart volunteers will be on the Interpretive Center deck to guide wild bird watching and answer questions.  Owl pellet investigations are fun for the whole family. Hike the National Wildlife Conservation Area.

Lewis and Clark Festival            
October 25 & 26, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

An early 1800’s reenactment at the George Rogers Clark Home Site of the Falls of the Ohio State Park on Harrison Avenue commemorating George Rogers Clark’s life. There are activities for everyone to enjoy, including historic games and music, as well as demonstrations by period craftsman.
